5 WEEK COURSE
This is an excellent course for the total beginner wanting to try their hand at pottery for the first time, and the maker with previous experience looking to refresh their skills
- The complete cycle of creating pottery on the potter’s wheel will be introduced to you – centering, opening, pulling walls, creating form, trimming, surface decoration and glazing
- You will start by learning to make functional pottery forms such as mugs, bowls and vases
- The course is structured so that each week focuses on different techniques, but we also place a lot of emphasis on time for practice and experimenting with clay
- As you progress your skills you will discover the magic of bringing clay into form is a highly satisfying and rewarding journey
- Our small class size of 6 ensures individual guidance by our professionally trained artists with a passion for sharing their knowledge and skills
- The fee for the 5 week course (5 x 3 hours) includes tuition, clay, glazes and 3 kg of fired glazed pieces
- Practice sessions are available if you would like to further develop your skills
- All classes are for adult attendees

Cost: $275 for 5 classes of 3 hours. Includes instruction, clay, glazes and up to 3 kg of fired glazed pieces . An additional charge of $10 per kg applies for any fired glazed pieces you make beyond this
